Project Management |
The development of focused production WiMAX network is a complex undertaking and requires focusing planning and management from its inception to succeed. AirWire uses proven methodology tested over years of fixed site, wireless broadband installations to deploy your system.
Our project managers are certified by the Project Management Institute. Typical project management activities include: - Project Planning – We have master project plans for single and multi-site deployments that we taylor to your individual project. Lessons-learned from our prior fixed-wireless projects is blended with our new plans to create a higher probability of success in your effort.
- Change Management – Our project management team carefully defines the scope of work for AireWire with you and with our subcontractors to make sure that expectations are set correctly at the beginning of a project. Once underway changes in scope, assumptions and constraints are communicated in writing. Impacts to financial, technical and logistical aspects of the project from these changes are approved by you before we proceed.
- Risk Management - During the course of planning and executing a project many business and technical risks surface. We analyze these risks to determine the best course of action. The outcomes of potential actions related to the risk under consideration are presented for review at routine project status meetings. Risk mitigation decisions that change the project are then submitted to the project Change Control team for integration into the project plan.
- Financial Tracking – All cost elements of the project are tracked and reported on a periodic basis for your review. Costs and hours expended against the project are rolled up on a Project Summary document that presents the project’s progress and financial performance in clear terms that are easy for the management team to understand.
- Status Reporting – Each week a status call between the project team leadership and project sponsors takes place to communicate accomplishments, plans and issues for discussion. Any Change Orders, Risk Management Issues or Financial issues for the project are presented for evaluation at this time. Status reporting is the key project document that drives the relationship between your leadership and the AirWire project team.
